Dublin mum shares how she transformed home through DIY and the use of colour

Justine and her family moved into their home in 2019 and have since renovated the garden, converted the attic and decorated the home with stylish interiors from local suppliers

A Dublin woman now living in Bettystown in Meath has shared how she transformed her house into a home through DIY and creative decor.

Justine and her husband moved into their new home in 2019 as they needed more space for their growing family.

With clever conversions and use of colour she has made it into an oasis where she and her family can relax, work and play.

Thanks to her DIY skills that date back to when she studied Construction Studies in school, she was able to panel her own bedroom – as well as lots of other little jobs like hanging mirrors.

She and her husband also made more changes to their home, from converting their attic to totally redesigning their garden.

Sharing her advice for anyone who is renovating their house, she said: “Don’t be afraid of colour, and go with your gut!”
