Lounge pants have become a big part of my daily uniform since I started working from home these past few years. I like to think I’ve become something of a comfy pants connoisseur, so I have pretty high standards when it comes to crowning favorites. Like any good wardrobe staple, they need to match the various tops I already own, and because I love dressing up, they need to be cute but comfortable. (Think: Not your average sweatpants.)

So when Amazon gave me the opportunity to test some clothing from its private label brands, I couldn’t pass up the chance to get some new loungewear — especially once I discovered these sweater pants from The Drop

My dresser drawer is overflowing with so many different lounge pants, but I haven’t been able to stop wearing these since they arrived at my door. Okay, so I have worn other pants since I got them, but only because I feel guilty for not giving my other options attention. But five or six days out of the week, you’ll catch me in a new sweater pants outfit. I’m currently wearing them as I write this, and when I pitched to write about them, another editor Slacked me to tell me how much she loves them, too.

Made from a soft, ribbed material that feels oh-so luxurious, the high-waisted pants have a super flattering flare cut that Gen-z would approve of. Being a petite, 5’2″ woman, I’ve struggled to find flare pants that aren’t too wide or too long on my legs. These sweater pants actually drape nicely and perfectly skim the top of my foot the way they should.

On days when I’ve got to be on camera for a meeting, I wear them with a fitted sweater tucked in so I can feel more put together. Some days I just throw on my favorite oversized sweatshirt with them. I even wear the sweater pants outside to walk my dog with my fuzzy shearling zip-up jacket and sneakers. I love that they basically go with everything! Oh, and did I mention there’s a cute matching bralette-esque top

The sweater pants are available in an inclusive range of sizes, from XXS to 3X. I ordered an XXS in beige, and the elastic waistband is slightly tight around my stomach, but not enough that it’s uncomfortable. I definitely think I could order a size up and they’d still fit fine. They also come in black and gray, which I will be ordering ASAP.
